  • Rush

Rush feels like the correct way of making biographical films based on true people and true events.

By having a strong core theme, Rush managed to be respectful of the source story, not being overly dramatic nor feeling unrealistic. It only used F1 and Niki and Hunt's rivalry to tell a story relatable to anyone who ever practiced a sport on a competitive level.
However, it did keep most of F1's universe; words, terms, and technicalities are thrown around and…

    tick, tick...BOOM!

I don't really like musicals and furthermore found the musical moments quite simple or boring, but beyond that I really enjoyed it and cried quite a lot, specially because of the themes it touches.
I liked how much stress you feel throughout the movie, really feeling Jonathan's issues.
Idk I realized I'm not good with reviews but I really liked the movie.

  • Bo Burnham: Inside

    Bo Burnham: Inside

Ill never understand how somebody can be such a genius and so relatable at the same time

  • The Silence of the Lambs

    The Silence of the Lambs

This movie is, unsurprisingly, a movie.

  • Jacob's Ladder

    Jacob's Ladder

    What the fuck

edit: After some analyzing and thinking I think i liked this movie more than i previously thought, So i'll add half a star.

  • Shaun of the Dead

    Shaun of the Dead

I love Edgar Wright I just really want him to be my friend.

  • The Witch

    The Witch

This film was not at all what I expected. Went in expecting some supernatural kinda cliché plot but found a truly interesting, also supernatural but more psychological movie.
The setting is extremely well done, loved the old English.
I don't have any complains about this movie tbh, it's just really solid and quite powerful, but when it ended I felt like I needed something more, I don't know why but it just felt a little... Lacking? I feel like this…

  • Saw

Didn't think i'd like this movie as much as i did.
The movie starts really strong, lacks a bit in the middle, with so much unnecesary time spent with different plots other than the main one (the whole cop story arch is 100% worthless), but it picks up the pace extremely well by the final act.
I don't have too much to say abut this movie, I thought it was going to be just gore but it actually has heart and some meaning. I really liked it and was quite shocked in some parts.

  • Halloween

Most of the flaws it has are side effects of being an old, low budget movie. The dialogue sucks, and the acting is nothing spectacular even though it does its job alright, although Jaimee Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence do a much better work than the rest of the cast.
There isn't much of an explanation about Michael, and why is he killing random teenagers, but also the lack of explaining works for creating an interesting mystery and fear around…
