Yes, Madam! 1985
Every scene with Yeoh and/or Rothrock fucking whips, but I do wish it was more of them than the sheer amount of scenes with John Shum and Tsui Hark when, in retrospect, I can get my fill of them from I Love Maria

Kamen Rider: The Next 2007
The mash of wildly different movies is cool on paper but I wish the J-horror film had been stronger as a movie and visually, the desaturated palette is not really to my tastes. The Kamen Rider stuff on the other hand totally kicks asscheeks, especially the Torque-ish bike scene. This movie is the closest in memory I’ve seen something inch up to the fury of Black Mask 2: City Of Masks but too many lil things hold it back from going all the way with that honor

Although this documentary short is the closest we’ll ever have to a post-The Room project of Tommy’s that doesn’t project an awareness of and desire to kowtow to the audience it picked up, much like all of the other ones after it that do convey that questionable self-awareness, it proves that the perfect storm Tommy hit on with it was completely unsustainable.
