    Where Hands Touch


    I could have sworn I'd already posted this review. Seemingly quite controversial, though for me it's just the latest and best Ama Asante movie and quite a personal movie for her too. Some of the more extreme negative opinions seem almost historically illiterate, ignoring that this is about human beings who care, love, but want a sense of belonging, personal pride and national pride in times of hardship, stuck in an ideological culture within which they do not fit.

    Best thing: The doll is still awesome. Previously I would have said Danny Glover, but I don't know that Danny Glover blows me away as much this time. Still, he stands out by comparison to the other actors (one of which is actually writer turned director Leigh Whannell who directed Invisible Man and Upgrade).
    Worst thing: The centrepoint of the story, two guys in handcuffs shouting across a room, really doesn't hold up for me. I originally thought this movie…
