I’m a huge fan of Sly, Rambo, and Rocky…
But I found despite Stallone seemingly regretting some self-absorption through the years, this movie showing him regretting it, was perhaps self-absorption too…
Granted he’s been through some tough times, and the man is extremely talented and very likeable…
I just can’t feel sorry for the man (and I kind of feel like that was the intention behind this film).
He’s an amazingly accomplished and loveable icon I’d prefer to celebrate instead of feeling sorry for…

    Still interesting though.

    This movie is spellbinding.
It feels very Italian but consider this:
Howard the Duck is a step-brother to Messiah of Evil.
Do with that what you will…
All things considered, this is an effective and beautiful horror movie.
The grocery store scenes are so amazing, I can’t wait to get a better copy of this so I can freeze the scene and look at all the products that come with a grocery aisle in 1973–and then add raw meat eating…

My 1000th movie entry on Letterboxd…

Creepshow made it to my Top 4 favourite list on Letterboxd for a reason…
My fascination with Dawn of The Dead kickstarted my love of horror, so it only made sense that Romero’s Creepshow would beckon me to beg to see it in the theatres as an 11 year old.
My Stepfather at the time—JOHN, fat fuck, 😬 took me to see it and the theatre (in Winnipeg Manitoba) had actually put out some…

I have no distinct memory of watching this classic 80’s comedy, but tonight watched it in full and seemed to remember most of the scenes (even lol’d several times).

Really fun flick full of 80’s nostalgia...
