Jeff!’s review published on Letterboxd:
“You can kill a revolutionary but you cannot kill a revolution.”
My biggest fear going in was that the film would not do the beliefs of Fred Hampton and the black panther party justice, luckily my worries quickly faded. Fred Hampton’s ideals were not only fleshed out and done justice but Fred was deeply humanized. Fred did not just feel like an icon of a revolution instead he felt like the real person he was, a person who was devoted to making the lives of not only black people better but also of all communities. He wanted everyone to be free and he was completely willing to die for the freedom of others.
Rest in peace chairman Fred.
