What We Do in the Shadows

What We Do in the Shadows ★★★½

Endlessly charming & inventive (& I'm ignoring the part of me that's questioning why & how a documentary cameraman would keep up with a housebound person trying to escape a pack of bloodthirsty vampires) (though points for being the last movie I would imagine paying sideways tribute to Inception), but the story could've used a tighter focus (cf. the build-up to the masquerade ball -- AKA the nominal point of this "documentary" -- taking a back seat to Nick's shenanigans; the perfunctory reveal of "The Beast"; the handling of Viago's love subplot) & more Stu. (NB: I would be totally fine with a sequel titled What Stu Does In The Shadows.)
