Love this film's overpowering audacity and grandiosity, and also love that James Badge Dale's performance lends the films an (intentional?) self-aware incredulity that helps ground and leaven the film's audacity and grandiosity. (Or maybe I'm just a sucker for films where my own "what the fuck was that?" exclamation is mirrored by the protagonist.) Might be my favorite Slender Man riff AND my favorite Lovecraft riff AND my favorite Fincher / Se7en riff (as well as, as Paul Duane noted, a solid Kill List riff).
