going into Everything Everywhere All At Once absolutely clueless in regards to the plot and themes is honestly one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. i’m not surprised at all that this came from the same directors who brought Swiss Army Man to life because it’s just about as wonderfully absurd, full of love and little, creative anecdotes. movies like these truly light that spark within me again, reminding me of why film is and always has been my favourite art medium. EEAAO is brilliantly original and tells its complex story in such a meticulous way, the runtime simply flies by. something that is seemingly rare to come by these days.

i’m really looking forward to rewatching it and picking up on more aspects that i may have missed during my first watch, just because there’s so much going on (which i loved) :))
