At first I was concerned. The humorous nature of this one threw me off, but as soon as Dr. Pretorius showed up…I knew this would be special.

The Bride of Frankenstein is the best monster movie I have seen (so far). The Monster is explored so deeply here and James Whale creates such a bond with the audience and this character. The blind man scene is one of the the best examples of this.

One of those rare sequels that doesn’t ruin the importance of the first film…and maybe even projects it! Please check this film out if you have not seen it.

    Balls.

See I appreciate some of the things here: cinematography, acting, sets, and visual/practical effects, but I also didn’t want to watch half the time. I know that’s the point, but it wasn’t as compelling as I expected it to be as a whole film.

I definitely have to let some parts sink in and I get (most of) the messages here, but I just didn’t love how they were delivered. Jessie Buckley is an absolute powerhouse though and carried majority of this film.

I appreciate the unique vision, but I did not resonate with me as much as I wanted it to.

This is a difficult one for me. The first bit is pretty bad when it comes to the writing: forced narration, bland side character mainly. But there’s a certain charm that I won’t deny this film has towards the middle section.

Angourie Rice is solid here. Her character can either be very enjoyable or extremely annoying, it just depends on the scene. But she did the best she could here and of course my man, Gaten Matarazzo is great here,…

I hate this. Do not watch this. I would rather watch Morbius 5 times in a row then ever watch this again. The acting is good and sometimes the cinematography can be good, but everything else is awful. This is so boring, unfocused, messy, sloppily edited, pointless and overall bad.

This isn’t even one of those “ooh let’s watch this to see how bad” or “ooh let’s watch this to see how messed up it is” because it feels like…

Hell yeah Josh! The crew did amazing and all the actors were solid, especially our leading man: Midun Odunaiya! Fantastic cinematography and atmosphere here! I can’t wait to see why you all do next!

There are moments I absolutely loved and also moments I hated…in multiple ways. Ti West attempts to bring us back to the 70s/80s sex filled slasher films and I’d say for the most part he achieved it.

I think this was shot on film so that means majority of these shots are either gorgeous or disgusting (excluding the content in them). Some of completely over saturated/over brightened, but others are haunting and personal.

The film takes its time and definitely…

This is scarier than any horror film. I feel disgusting and feel the need to take 50 showers now and never touch any form of medication again. The horror of addiction has never been captured in a more raw and realistic way. I equally loved and hated this film. This is one of those movies that will change anyone who sees it.
