• West Side Story

    West Side Story

    oh my.

everything about this was fucking insanely perfect, costuming, cinematography, lighting, actings, singing, dancing, sets. maybe not the NY accents, i digress.

when i was 6 years old, i saw west side story for the first time in theaters. watching the women dance from above on the second floor of the theater was a life-changing experience. i saw the 1961 film soon after and fell even deeper in love. when i was old enough to understand the…

    Get Out

the only time i found myself rooting for murder

this, genuinely, is one of the best films i have ever seen. and its a DEBUT?? (well not debut, but debut of like serious projects from peele)

everytime i watch this, im left genuinely speechless after. i cant even make commentary. except for acknowledging the insane commentary it IS as a project. wow

  • The Batman

    The Batman

i missed the first 10 minutes because i WASNT driving 65mph down stephanie from my shift ….. HOWEVER

ive been telling everyone that this didnt feel like a superhero movie but just a cinematic thriller.. maybe it was the coloring or the lighting or the way the clues were revealed.
ALSO i am so shocked that penguin is colin farrell!? prosthetics slayed him wow

also zoë. and rob. and zoë and zoë and rob

  • All the Bright Places

    All the Bright Places

now playing : creep by radiohead

okay but in all honesty. i enjoyed it. never seen the mess of not knowingness of your mind and why its like how it is portrayed in a way i could relate to.

one of those “simply following life” stories, felt plotless. until, you find out what the film leads to.

    i just wonder

  • Words on Bathroom Walls

    Words on Bathroom Walls

this was really nicely done in a casual way, i enjoyed it so much

  • The Fallout

    The Fallout

    the end. ouch

its a scary thing, this whole concept. i like movies like these that just settle in the aftermath, very human.

    just hmm

  • Spontaneous

not rating this because it’s an awesomenessTV movie so…

concept was really cool, unique and weird. the romance was cringy at points (to be expected) but in a way where it was realistic,, like being stupidly into someone IS cringy. idk i liked it

  • The Social Network

    The Social Network

such a fan of the “situation playing out while we flashback to the events that led up to the situation” trope

  • Don't Look Up

    Don't Look Up

this movie would’ve been cooler if they filmed it like a mockumentary . did they? i cant tell. felt like a video essay at some moments. camp… mayhaps
