    The cinematography was horrific in the best way, with long takes and extreme close-ups to raise the tension. I'm torn on what to think of this movie, because it was so disturbing and horrendous that I hated it...but it might have accomplished its goal in shock value.
    Let's just go with it's "unique."

    The whole appeal of this documentary is the Myspace catfishing expedition, but this is only about 25 minutes in an hour-and-a-half film. And when it's a 14-year-old girl having to seduce gang members, it's a lot less exciting and a lot more unnerving.

    It's a "comedy thriller" that is neither comedic nor thrilling. The characters are flat, with a weak attempt at making them more complex by throwing around flashbacks to a past of abuse and neglect, in completely poor taste. It managed to take my fascination with the phenomenon of Cicada 3301 and suck the life out of it.

    This film goes "as above" the extent of unrealistic special effects as it can, while being "so below" the standard for genuine character development. The storyline starts out promising, offering the combination of an urban legend with the claustrophobic terror of being trapped in a cave.
