I think my favorite bit of visual symbolism is the receipt for the karaoke machine with the sharpie circle around it. Obviously, the sharpie circle represents the Everything Bagel, but it circles the karaoke machine, and the importance of that machine is shown in the opening shot where the whole family is together having a great time singing. It's showing that at the center of everything important is family. It's not the most obscure connection, but it's a cute little detail and ties the theme of family together with the story about doing taxes well.
