High school. Oh god, you hate high school. You wait years and years for it to end, and you're sure that, once it's over, it will all be good. You have it all naively planned out, the future, it awaits for you, it lingers in the back of your mind surrounded by a mist that makes it blurry, yet you know it's there, for you. Then high school ends. How? Did you really just graduate from high school? Doesn't seem…

Hell is other people. Heaven is a dusty highway populated by gas stations and fast food and no loved ones, stretching for all eternity.

The music was pretty cool and it looks nice but I didn’t find this particularly original so it was mostly just a slog to get through. Sorry.

“Read your constitution. It’s my right to bear this arm, for some reason.” Lolol

The scene prior to that line is probably one of my favs I’ve seen in a bit.

Love a film that tackles the inner struggle of doing the opposite of what your beliefs are i.e. the gun control topic. There’s so much darkness and sadness and angst and relatable emotions and yet, I still laughed at times. That’s not easy.
     Ugh life sucks sometimes, man.

p.s. Chris Abbot wore the hell out of that jacket.

okay oh my god ??? i really really loved this movie is there anyone more exciting than jerrod carmichael ! so beautiful so tough rlly a movie that i would advise a lot of ppl against seeing bc of how graphic it can be. but literally phenomenal. perfect performances, i love seeing comedic actors in dramatic roles. christopher abbott’s filmography is crazy he’s the best. fucked up buddy comedy. heartfelt and intense. ended really really well. left me feeling delicate.

12 pm, Movie 3 of the Sundance marathon. I quite enjoyed this. It goes into a subject that is still often overlooked in life and film, men being depressed. Different type of best friend movie.

This has definitely been the highlight of my Sundance experience so far. Jerrod Carmichael has turned in a solid statement in his directorial debut, as On the Count of Three takes a dark, serious premise and adds just the right amount of humor to make a potent mixture for a memorable film.

Taking the buddy comedy formula in a very unique direction, Carmichael's film is just as much a bittersweet bromance as it is a study of depression. Two best…

Damn. Crazy good film. These are the types of Indie films I love. Short, good concept, well written, well acted. Also he's wrong 'Last Resort' is the perfect song to listen to when suicidal. Better that than 'Karma Police' or 'Creep'.

SUNDANCE 2021: I've been resisting Christopher Abbott for years, but alas, I give in. This was really good and a great debut for Carmichael. Funnier and more serious than I expected.
