dark landscapes among the bright core colours of the movies heart the movie on the surface is a depressing ode to the superhero movie and a general fuck you to wb for supressing the overall testament of a thrillingly brilliant film. yet beyond this its a film by someone who loves super heros and it is shown by the audacious gorgeous treasure of the cinematography and politics behind this movie. this is ultimately a tribute to snyders daughter and a tribute to snyder as a whole and it is just such a perfect picture in that respect as it signifies the flaws and highs of his direction and perhaps his persona within the film industry. maybe the best superhero movie ever.
