Judas and the Black Messiah

Judas and the Black Messiah ★★★★

If you thought you're already done with movies about informants, then I regret to inform you that Judas and the Black Messiah doesn't offer anything new, instead it provides something true. There's a certain electricity to it, an energy that will make you root for our Judas and our Black Messiah. It doesn't have the flashiness of Scorsese's or Sorkin's biopics, because it doesn't need to. Shaka King's direction was oozing with confidence which elevated the already well-written script.

And to answer your question Jesse Plemons, Lakeith Stanfield does deserve an Academy Award. Lots. As well as Daniel Kaluuya.
