Makes sense that Caleb Landry Jones is in this film, he plays an even more despicable lowlife here than in Twin Peaks: the Return

The editing + score are A1

  • Vortex

I have a feeling that there’s gonna be nudity and at least one attempt by Gaspar Noé to give me an epileptic episode. Thank you in advance, king

Edit: the film has been screened at Cannes right now and looks like i was wrong but i still win because Vortex will be another classic by the madman 😎

    Season 1+2

Just watched the finale and my brain is fried. I was not ready for this. The show had it’s eerie moments so far but this one scared the living hell out of me for sure

From the moment this episode begins David Lynch lets you know that he’s back and he’s not fucking around. There are still a few scenes that made me laugh because they were surrealistic, but the quirkiness and goofy moments that were previously present…

    13 Assassins

Pretty sure this is the definitive Takashi Miike film. Starts of as a slow burn which ultimately reaches a bombastic 40 minute climax which contains some of the most impressive action sequences and set pieces i have ever seen.

It’s a very serious film that somehow still manages to include plenty of Miikes trademark humor and weirdness that he is known for. From a horde of charging burning bulls to a group of men exploding into a giant fountain of blood

13 Assassins is pretty much a perfect film that delivers on everything you would want to get out of a film like this.

Def my new guilty pleasure. 1st half was a lot better than the 2nd half but overall i was still entertained. Can’t wait to explore his filmography, must be some crazy stuff in there if this is considered tame and accessible compared to the other films by Miike Takashi

    This ain’t it chief..

    Lux Æterna

Epileptics stay the FUCK away from this film please! Lux Aeterna is an attack on all your senses, my eyeballs still feel like exploding 30 mins after finishing the film. Gaspar Noé is a madman but i’ll watch anything he does at this point because he’s one of the most original directors of all time. Yes, all time
