Etai Benson’s review published on Letterboxd:
This big little horror deserves much more love. After a 20 minute prologue that could be a classic in itself, The Empty Man begins as a riff on urban legends and expands into cosmic territory. The running time is kind of bloated, and like most modern horror, it doesn’t entirely stick the landing, but the set pieces are so strong, the ideas dense and intelligent. It’s got touches of Lovecraft, Fincher, Lynch, but David Prior has a style all his own. A horror movie for adults - oh frabjous day calloo callay!
