now, preface, i’m a lesbian. but the amount of times i said “that’s hot” while watching this movie was obscene. truly, women. 😌😌

    Where'd You Go, Bernadette

    ★★½

i think this is a super cute feel good film, but it’s not without its flaws. as someone who has been hospitalized for mental health issues i really wasn’t a fan of this movies approach to mental health care and being hospitalized. although involuntary hospitalizations aren’t uncommon, framing it like bernadette was completely in the right but literally running away to avoid treatment carries on the stigma that leads to more people refusing treatment and being involuntarily admitted. also, i…

you know those pictures of places that feel like the can’t possibly exist. where something is just so off but so unassuming. this movie is that feeling stretched over an hour and 34 minutes. i never really knew what was happening but that made it so incredibly entertaining.

it’s not often i find a historical drama i actually enjoy but to the stars was a thoroughly enjoyable film! it did make my heart ache because as a lesbian it is melancholic to see how lesbians were treated not so long ago. i know that without them progress would’ve never been made. every lesbian that tried to live her life openly pushed the needle closer to where it is today. but hazel and maggie truly deserved so much better.…

yes i’m a lesbian. yes i’m hopelessly in love with paul rudd. yes we exist.

unfortunately that didn’t make the 1 and 20 minutes i watched of this 2 hour long movie bearable. i honestly couldn’t watch another minute. the only reason it gets a full one star is because of my aforementioned love of paul rudd.

i want zoey dutch to burn all of my debt 😌😌

but this was a genuinely really entertaining movie! i’m not really a fan of movies that have characters break the fourth wall (deadpool is the obvious exception) so that is why i couldn’t really give it 4 stars. still a great movie for a tuesday night.

not the best movie i’ve ever watched by far. but i love zoey deutch and everything she’s in is made better by her acting. i will admit i cried a tiny bit. but still, there are so crazy flaws in this film. solid 3 stars.

i couldn’t get past the fact that marco and noah were almost identical. also marco was the only good character, the rest just manipulated each other and cried. i am sad i will never get back the 2 hours i spent watching this.
