Thanks to this movie, I had my very own Seinfeld experience. When the couple next to me kept making out during brutal, extreme violence and numerous depictions of slavery, I kept thinking they were the type to make out during Schindler’s List. I’d remember this moviegoing experience anyway since it’s another remarkable and disturbing Robert Eggers film, but that bizarre couple sealed the deal.
