    I preferred the filmmaking style of Brown’s previous documentary, the Order of the Myths. There, content was jam-packed but the observational style still left breathing room and was entirely focused on substance. This one felt a bit self-serious/self-aware, and was slower in a way that challenged me. The camera work and editing was styled so much like Chef’s Table and a lot of others these days, with tons of artsy lingering, golden hour landscape gazing, and handheld-following-people-approach-buildings-from-5-feet-behind and so forth.…
