Friendly neighbourhood Sam Raimi’s deft hand weaves a buoyant superhero corniness (the best corniness), romance, bad jokes (the best bad jokes) n emotion seamlessly, providing glorious web-swinging fun, n we all know how ideal in the role Maguire is. Bit dated now mind u but effortlessly charming n more Spider-Man soul than any of the new iterations. A pleasure to watch a small-scale superhero flick where the whole world isn’t being blown up !
