U’d have thought a solo movie about Pixar’s space ranger would explore space, but here we are, sticking to one intensely dull planet with not a cypher of visual panache or ounce of genuine adventure in sight. My god is this movie dull, utterly charmless n painfully witless, using only off-the-shelf sci-fi tropes and lacking any hint of creativity or wonder or heart or any basic ingredient that makes a moving-picture good. Andy has good taste in toys, but evidently shit taste in movies
