this would be so much better as a book. some of the lines just feel way too forced and less poetic when said out loud, which is surprising considering the talent of this cast. honestly I don’t think anyone was good in this — a testament to how awful the writing is.

best movie of 2022 imo. even better on a rewatch and i’m sure i’ll love it even more the next time I see it. definitely the best film i’ve seen address the “friend break-up” as well.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery 2022
rian johnson has once again made the crowd pleaser of the year. the casting was perfect, and I don’t feel like enough people are talking about how funny the script is! obviously it’s a new movie, but there are pieces of dialogue that are so relevant, they feel like they were written yesterday.
comparison is inevitable, and if I have to pick a favorite, i’m partial to the first. nonetheless, glass onion succeeds in building upon the layered storytelling and comedic social commentary that made knives out special. -
