The Hurt Locker

The Hurt Locker ★★★★

I love war films. They give me a glimpse into a world I will never fully understand or hopefully witness for myself and I’m so fascinated by the courage and strength it takes to be a solider. I actually really enjoyed James’ character and how he was able to be playful in the stressful moments yet it was balanced by the rest of his team’s seriousness. The film’s runtime flew by because I was so engrossed in what was being shown on screen and I would’ve honestly sat there for longer if it asked me to. I didn’t love the ending watching James tell his son that he only loves one thing lol I didn’t feel like that was necessary but I do understand how it makes a statement about why soldiers go to war as many times as they do.
