Ugh. I don't want to sound didactic but PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME THIS MOVIE GIVES AN ACCURATE SOLUTION TO EDUCATION IN AMERICA. Yes, education is very flawed in America, and yes, many students are behind their counterparts in other countries. But the doc also supports charter schools, which is the privatization of education. One of the main people interviewed who ran a "successful" charter school, kicked out students who would have brought the schools' test scores down. Also, Michelle Rhee is portrayed as a hero even though she basically mutilated the DC school system with the efficiency of a hacksaw. Not sure how many people who might read this review will actually care, but I welcome any comments, critical or otherwise.
