The Godfather: Part II

The Godfather: Part II ★★★★½

This is as good as The Godfather in nearly every aspect. The one thing that's sorely missed is Brando's Vito Corleone. That commanding, yet gentle character added an extra dimension to the film that made it something special. Though De Niro does a great job playing a younger Vito, it's just not the same. Brando's absence doesn't diminish everyone else's excellent performances, including one of Pacino's career highlights, so there's still much to love about this film.
