Incredible. Forcing your inner desires not just in the closet, but to die because you've been situated in a prejudicial period. The match cuts in this piece are everything. One of my all-time favourite film techniques, alongside split diopters and visual synecdoche.

Quite good. I'm yet to find a Ridley Scott I don't at least LIKE. Funnily enough, I found that this film emanates Scott's previous "Alien Covenant" (2017), a MAJOR work to be sure (and an all-timer for me), in its nihilistic, barbaric violence, which due to its unique angles on gore, comes across as very personal and vituperative.
