Well this is just bloody gorgeous isn't it. Deeply felt but still played with a certain sobriety – Firth mines his pain so deep, and Tucci is just the perfect choice to telegraph the devastation of a firecracker life slowly petering out. A fear of loneliness isn't enough, a promise of unconditional love can't change the damage our minds and bodies force upon us. The exhale you breathe after finishing watching this is so, so full of love.
