The Little Mermaid 2023
Objectively so funny that they say the film’s name twice 😭 but I think there’s so much to love, so many fresh updates that are super sensitive and make so much sense with hindsight- can’t imagine anyone but Halle Bailey having ever done this. Always thought Rob Marshall was the most interesting guy for this kind of thing and Jonah Hauer-King is really the George Mackay of Disney princes (compliment!) I kind of don’t mind about the messiness and strange pacing (literally some of the songs, lol) because whew what a legacy I think this update could have!!
