Alex Johan’s review published on Letterboxd:
After a couple of days of thinking about The Force Awakens I can safely say that J.J did it!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is by far the best Star Wars movie since 1983, the magic is back! After I saw it I was speechless, I hadn't feelt like that in a long time (ago in a galaxy far away).
The opening crawl was perfect, it got me exited again and made me feel like a little kid.
And then the movie started... And blew me away!
I was afraid I had over-hyped the movie for myself, I was expecting to really like it, I thought it would be a great film, about a 8 out of 10 but it was so much more.
Sure the film had flaws, what movie doesn't? I felt that some character cgi was alittle out of place but it didn't dampen the experience too much. But for every negative thing there was a hunred positive things.
I loved Kylo Ren, after Vader he is by far the best villain Star Wars have had! everybodys acting is superb John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and of course Harrison Ford I tip my hat to you guys!
I am now sure of my 5/5 rating because I don't think that I will ever feel like this in a movie theater again, Thank you J.J. Abrams I salute you!
