The subrealm of late 90s-mid 2000s irritating prick "teens" all with the same personalities built up of nudity, tropes and sexual innuendos being slain and slewn all about the place in pieces and liquids and entrails and nothing more, stretched out until semi transplanted into the tiny niche of evil wraiths of their-world-as-our-world logical illogicism playgrounds of sadism doing nothing but revelling in causing suffering a la Ogroff and Slaughtered Secretaries - aka y'know the fucking best.

Karaoke of (un)easy listening concealing its true intention to only those without visuals and without the knowledge of the English language; but only insofar as the point the first of many diagetic samples consisting of the harrow of pained death screams and electrical explosions echoing into and around the razor-fescues of manic oblivion smashes through the facade, bringing everything to the point of yet another public info PSA safety vid accidental moment of filmic clarity and true stumbling auteurship.

Pure absolutely distilled schlocky bullshit. Like an episode of NCIS where the perp is Brandon Lee from The Crow as a parkour contortionist electro-ghost for about an hour, then it completely jumps off the rails like them good old Duke Boys traversing a river with a broken bridge to evade the coppers, only instead of having moonshine stashed in the footwell, they've got stolen Frank Henenlotter scripts.
James Wan has made this for a specific audience, and it is not 90% of the modern general horror-populae, evidenced by everyone else in the cinema actively hating it. Go in blind.
