Knives Out

Knives Out ★★★★

"Benoit Blanc: The family is truly desperate. And when people get desperate, the knives come out."

Oh my god. This was the most ridiculous, over the top BUT still very clever movie and the most fun I've had at the movies this year so far. Full of great performances from the whole ensemble in top form. Will try to be as brief as possible because I don't wanna spoil anything. Here are my quick/short thoughts.

-MVPs: The whole cast is brilliant but Ana De Armas is a revelation. Cast her in more movies. We need more Latinas in lead roles. Toni Collette also had me screaming with her Gwinnett/GOOP impersonation. Is there anything this woman cant do?
-This has the most perfect last shot of the year. Whew. Glorious.
- Am I the only one who didn’t like whatever accent Craig was going for? lol idk why it looked dubbed like it wasn’t even coming outta him?
- Funny, anxiety inducing. Will have you guessing and you think you might be right, you might be, then you wont at all. LOL. Twist after twist and they all unfold perfectly without looking dumb.
- Plays with political issues/themes but in a way that is very crowd pleasing... at least for me.
- I'd love a screenplay nom @ Oscar and would love SAG ensemble nom too. They were all excellent.

Go see this movie. Don't google spoilers AT ALL please.
