Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

The fact the main villain of this film is "Ego" in more sense than one does not escape me and is just so πŸ˜šπŸ‘Œ

While it may be a little more loose than its predecessor both in terms of its narrative and pacing out its humor, Vol. 2 more than makes up for it with a much more emotionally rich story, phenomenal character work, and some of the most beautiful camerawork and lighting in the comicbook genre. I love this film to death, again coming out in a time I needed it most at the end of my senior year of high school. The film taught me our own egos can often blind us from compassion towards the imperfections in those we care about, and that while we may not like the answers to the questions we've been searching for in life, those answers will never change the beautiful people we have and already are deep down.

I'll just never get over the fact that a multi-million dollar blockbuster ends with a close-up of a raccoon crying because he realizes that he'll be loved and remembered at his own funeral.
