“In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you.”
Simply an unforgettable, exhilarating movie theater experience. This film is unparalleled in terms of originality, and it packs a huge punch of entertainment, thrills, and heart-wrenching moments. It puts so much cinematic gold in a blender and pukes out something equally bizarre, bonkers, and beautiful. The colors and the editing are to die for — unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
There’s not much more you can ask for in a movie. I think it’s perfect. The performances, the direction, the sheer gall & audacity of the script to breach something so insane. It’s a movie so rich with ideas and exposition, but does so in a way that’s ceaselessly entertaining & powerful.
“Then I will cherish these few specks of time.”
And yeah, as an Asian-American, the entire experience is just a wallop of emotion. Those last 30 minutes just resonate, so so so so so so so so so much.
Amazing. Can’t wait to see again. There’s too much to unpack. Get this movie nominated for a ton of shit at next year’s Oscars, please. Remove the slap from my mind.
