Rewatch Sunday (sorta)
So I have been really busy lately and so I only got around to rewatch Sunday today. Anyway this was a ton better than the first time around. Like I remember, the first half was excellent aside from a couple small things. However the section that improved drastically was the second half. Truly an excellent piece of filmmaking. However the best part in the film is still the scene with Florya and Glasha from the moment when the bombs hit until they leave the mud. One of the most intense and gripping moments in cinema I’ve ever seen. My main complaint for the film would be the middle 15 minutes or so of the film. The time when Florya meets that cow farmer and before he enters the village. It sorta felt a little unnecessary even though that scene one moment when the Germans were shooting at them was beautiful and brilliant. Honestly that’s it, this was a fabulous film. I didn’t love it bc honestly you’re not supposed to like this movie but it’s a great film regardless.
