Pretty solid film. The beginning half hour or so was goddamn incredible and the final half hour were both so good. The rest was fine, it just wasn’t the same. But anyway I may go as far as to declare this the best gambling movie of all time. It’s either this or the hustler for sure. I honestly watched this movie just to try and get into more Altman movies and I’m gonna try and watch movies like Nashville and MASH and The Player sometime soon. But I also really liked the movie in general. It definitely told me that I should stay away from gambling too much, even if you have a big night. But anyway I’d recommend this film to anyone who is interested in a cool and well paced gambling film.
