Eddie Mould’s review published on Letterboxd:
For the longest time, from seeing the poster, I’ve thought this was a horror film—maybe that’s why it lay idle in my watchlist for such a long time... which I now majorly regret. Donnie Darko is such an oddly comforting experience. The combination of awesome music and gliding cinematography form a mesmerising, nostalgic and melancholic ballet. That bike scene is so, so, so inexplicably wonderful. Ultimately, a film which can be looked at from so many different angles, and, at the same time, one which can just be left to wash over you in a warm and serene wave of cosiness.
