if Michael Myers isn't gonna be in your Halloween film, i guess the next-best thing would be Tom Atkins.
a 1-of-1 series subversion, a film that gets more strange and tactile with each passing scene. the sense of humor stays consistent throughout the runtime, but is intensified by the progression of the other elements. Cundey's lighting and composition feel perfectly in-between his work on the first two & the bigger, brighter blockbusters he'd go on to shoot. it's not a very thematically subtle film — industrial evil in a Company Town with the cyborg henchmen appearing as anonymous corporate goons until their wires and yellow goop are exposed — but sometimes, film works best as a blunt object.
