Cats and cat lovers, friendly visits and long chats, apples and cups of coffee, unexpected encounters and awkward silence, watching movies alone and eating inside the cinema - this film speaks to me on a spiritual level. God, I love that ending scene.

P.S. I can never trust people who are annoyed or scared of cats.

Iba talaga ang tama ng soju. Pakalandi!!! Haha.

A flirty, funny, whimsical story of how it is to be so much drunk in soju, but more so in love, concealed loneliness, and fleeting what-ifs. I really enjoyed how Hee-jeong and Chun-su talk. It's like Hong Sang-soo telling us, just be in the moment. Thank God for that ending.

Look, Marcel. The cherry tree blooms.

Behind the noir-ish imagery and seemingly nonchalant tone lies a story of community, innate goodness, and unexpected miracles that feels warm and by the end will make one smile. Maybe life is good, afterall.

The perfect Valentine's Day film. Romance melodrama that works really well. It has a lot something to say about diaspora and socio-economic dynamics of relationships as much as the serendipitious nature of love. If the ending scene at the TV store didn't put a smile on your face, do you even have a beating heart?

I am not sure why but I have always been familiar with Teresa Tang's The Moon Represents My Heart. I used to sing, actually hum the tune many, many years ago.
