    This might be the biggest 180 any sequel did compared to the original.
    I'm all for goofy 80s moments and coked up Dennis Hopper perfomances but TCM2 was too much of a literal ghost train ride to me.

    Phew...Shin Godzilla is a mixed bag for me.
    I loved the political satire which reminded me of something like In the Loop. Godzilla's animation ranged from utterly terrible (early scenes) to decent (especially the scenes with the beams at night) and were certainly something that pulled me out of the movie. All in all I think that 2 hours is way too long for the story being told here. The message and satire was clear yet the film went on and on and on...

    Delightful in all its revulsion!
    The metaphors might be a little on the nose but I can live with that. 
    As strange as that might sound but I’ve yet to see a film that better captures the essence of the first few weeks at a European Uni (cannibalism may or may not be included).
