To say this movie is important or moving just doesn't sit right with me. Even though it is, the fact that something like this had to be written, performed and directed is the biggest crime. Haunting, powerful, bleak.
While maybe not as effective on a personal level, it's difficult to deny the profound nature of OPPENHEIMER on a level of pure existence. The consequences in this film, and as such in our history, are brilliantly showcased to heartbreaking effect.
