At first this wasn't being funny and I was like "that's fine it'll just be interesting!" and then it was funny and i was like "thank god it's also funny

Not a total wash out, but lacks basically everything a Die Hard movie needs to pop. Real big explosions! Most of the jokes stink

Never mind the train thing, this freaks me out *now*. Love how nice and well framed the set is too!

A solid enough, too-brief documentary about an amazing woman and project that will eventually get a much better, longer documentary. Give me, 10 hours just on sorting through the tapes. Where can I send my money

Unironically it's all about the words they don't say. Maybe the wettest movie I've ever wanted to live in. It's both funny and good that Lucy the dog is third on the callsheet.

A slightly diluted version of a great bit is still a pretty good bit. Could've done with fifteen more minutes to breathe, and the editing undercuts some genuinely smart horror ideas more than I'd like, but overall found this very rewarding. Riki Lindholme quietly becoming one of the best supporting players we've got.

Truly wonderful - looks and sounds gorgeous, tons of great little character moments, some neat subversion of expectations. Incredible goat, even if it is dead for most of the movie. Some shots that will really stay with me, especially the long take retrieving the goat from underwater. These kids are horrible little jerks, though!

What no one tells you about the bee stuff is that that's when this thing finally becomes an actual film

Imo The Boys Are Back In Town should also have a bit where the rest of the band cheer up Phil Lynott by asking him to milk them dry!

New York here seems indistinguishable from 70s New York but those suits are giving me pure 1920s so almost every shot of them looking excited by something with their cute lil butts made me laugh. Betty Garrett and Ann Miller are absolutely sensational as the two horniest dames on planet earth trying to wrangle excitable boys who don't know what sex is. Loses most of a star for some uh, wild, wild racism.

A total blast. More docs should include breaking into your family's vault to find their choicest unedited tit movies.

The only way to pull this off is to cast literally the most charismatic living person. So!

Other than that, suffers badly from Star is Born syndrome, whole thing should just be Babs doing increasingly well received numbers, she's so good it doesn't *entirely* matter

How did I forget to log this. I didn't shut the fuck up about it for days. Nice to find out long after the event that a not obvious but really great performance won an Oscar! Is it controversial that I would have given the other one to Ellen Burstyn
