Brian DePalma's use of the camera is perfect for horror. He has a way of making the viewer feel claustrophobic, without any added effects...a true master of the craft. This is perfect for the character of Carrie because she is uncomfortable inside her own skin...always feeling uneasy. DePalma captures this emotion flawlessly.

Also Spacek's portrayal of the troubled youth is unmatched (sorry Chloe). Her performance in the final act is nothing short of chlling...and she barely says a word.
