Joseph Howell’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Just look at their faces! They could be monsters!”
“They could be drunk.”
Possibly Bruno Mattei’s best film (make of that what you will.) Filled with the kind of goofy incompetence you’d expect-especially the unfitting stock footage-while also offering up a never dull horror/action/exploitation bonanza of surprisingly well done gore, misguided social commentary, unapologetic pilfering of the music of Goblin and moments of (accidentally?) haunting visuals like the sometimes specter like look of the zombies and the image of a lone jeep moving in the jungle heat with the dead surrounding. All topped off with one of the best death scenes in the history of Italian horror. Awesomely dumb fun.
