I wasn't expecting to dive back into this flick so soon but a friend who saw 2049 with me hadn't seen this... until tonight, when I joined him for watch #5 of Bladefest.

I literally wrote a review of this less than 48 hours ago, and not much has changed- it's still a damn good movie, one of the best-looking ever made. Watching it for a third time, though, let me look at the urban geography. I've lived in Los Angeles most of my life, and a lot of this was filmed in downtown LA. I've been to so many of the locations here, and it's mind-boggling to think that this movie made a dystopian, futuristic vision of LA that actually incorporated the real LA. And take it from me, the Bradbury Building really does look that awesome. Like, all the time. It's an architectural masterpiece.
