Okay, this totally exceeded my expectations coz I didn't have any. But WOW!! It's incredibly directed and some of the shots are so so beautiful. It doesn't take itself too seriously like that awful Godzilla and that's what makes it pure dumb fun. And remember how we all cringed at John C. Reilly in the trailers? Turns out, he's an easy MVP after the Kong himself. The rest are pretty meh. (Why Brie why??!)

And Sam Jackson's "Bitch, please!" to Brie was GOLD!!

All in all, don't get your expectations high and you'll love it. It's everything a movie like this should be. I badly missed Anne Darrow though :(
