  • The Book of Boba Fett

The Book of Boba Fett 2021

The Book of Boba Fett (2021-) is a series that I recently watched on Disney+. The storyline follows bounty hunter Boba Fett as he claim leadership of Tatooine, which has recently become available with the passing of Jabba the Hutt. When a man arrives looking to take over the local spice trade, Fett's journey gets excitingly mixed with the Mandalorian.

This series was created by Jon Favreau (Iron Man 1 & 2) and stars Temuera Morrison (The Mandalorian), Ming-Na Wen (The…

Jurassic Park III (2001) is a movie in my DVD collection that I recently watched again with my daughter on HBOMAX. The storyline follows a set of parents whose son was lost while parasailing on an island filled with dinosaurs from the historical experiments of Jurassic Parks. The parents trick Dr. Alan Grant into helping them find their son. Once Dr. Grant discovers what's going on it quickly becomes a survival mission not a rescue mission.

30 years! (and my 1000th review!)

My favorite film of all time. It's just so perfect. The themes it tackles are beautifully done without ever over doing it. On the surface, this film is about groups of high school seniors and freshman trying to find somewhere to throw an end of the year party. But at it's heart, it's about discovering who you are amid a world of people trying to tell you what to do and who you are…

Brought the franchise back to its horror/slasher roots. It felt like a reboot for most of the film because we never reference any of the past events, but then towards the end it pulls it all together.

The kills weren't as great as previous films nor did we get as many good Chucky moments, but this movie is filled with suspenseful moments and a very eerie tone which was something new for this franchise.

    Wasn't a huge fan of how…

Nearly perfect. I just wish the beginning had slightly better pacing and let itself breathe a little more.

Kept to the book really well, just wish there were a few key moments included.

Easily the best looking entry into the franchise thus far, the filmmaking has come a long way.

Super super fun and still one of my favorite entries as well as one of my favorite movies of all time.

While this does brush past a lot of really cool stuff from the book, there’s no dying how good this movie is. I apologize for my years of slander.

The entire Dumbledore’s Army segment might just be my favorite part of the entire franchise.

Love how dark and gritty this one gets. Great performances from the entire cast. And my oh my the score is incredible.

Definitely moved up in my rankings after this watch.

    "[gasps, breathes heavily]"

There Disney goes again, effing around when they could've had it all...

What an absolute damn shame I watched this on my TV on Hulu by myself! I should've been watching this in the theatre with a full house, us grabbing each other and gripping our seats and collectively holding our breath just like the good ones always make us do. A movie like this should be a communal experience, not a singular one.

    So very few…

How cute was her little whimsical house in the middle of the dreamy woods tho?

Signs (single girl living alone with anxiety version)

Kaitlyn Dever is so competent and is so easily able to carry a film on her own, more of her in everything please.

I thought I was obsessed with Nick Galitzine, but it only took 1 movie to send me straight back to my original Nick crush, Nick Robinson.

I actually liked this movie A LOT. I liked how modern it felt, it really breathes some fresh air into the Jurassic Park franchise. How great is the cast? Bryce Dallas Howard couldn’t not be great if she tried, and I didn’t even mind Chris Pratt, although it did help that he looked pretty buff in his tight dinosaur wrangler outfit.

All in all, a really great film.

"There's a reason we're supposed to be afraid of this night."

"It needs to die! It needs to die!"

Regardless how most seem to feel about this entry, one thing has to be universally recognized and accepted...
Other than the original, this is the best damn mask design of all sequels and entries in this franchise. I will never secede this point.

Again, lots of fun Easter eggs throughout.

I love Michael's aggressiveness in this movie, he is brutally tough…

"You want your mask, come a.nd get it!"

"There's nothing in that man but pure evil."

I love how it not only creates its own continuity from the first film, but bringing back a lot of the original cast was exciting and fun.

The old couple...brutal...just brutal! He operates on fear. The hunt and fear rather than the kill. It reminds me of a quote from TCM2 when Stretch repeats the line and says, "they live on fear, they live…

"I've run from you. I have chased you. I have tried to contain you. I have tried to forgive you. I thought maybe you were the Boogeyman. No, you're just a man who's about to stop breathing."

First off, I've read many reviews regarding horror tropes and how they were used in this movie. I've read plenty of reviews regarding the direction of and handling of Myers' character and of course the new Corey character.

    First of all, I concede…
