Bullitt ★★★★½

I would guess that Peter Yates had a case of OCD haha. I base that guess off of the scenes where the hit man disassembles the shotgun, the scene in which Bullitt cleanly grabs the plethora of TV Dinners and the scene where we see the cork placed on top of the ice-pick. I’m sure there’s some other scenes that exhibit this OCD-level of attention to detail that I missed. I’m probably just over-analyzing.

In terms of what I actually thought of the movie, I really liked it. Not at all what I expected it to be. I loved the grittiness of it. The cinematography was great, it seemed very meticulously planned. The areas I thought it could improve upon was the exposition and the finale which felt stretched out.

Well Done, Peter Yates.
