Daniel Patterson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Simultaneously a great entry in the dudes rock genre while also being a layered and often sobering (sorry, you know I had to) depiction of what alcohol can do in one’s life both positively and negatively. Vinterberg hits a perfect tone combining fun, melancholy, heartbreak and celebration. Everyone rightly thinks this by now but I’ll happily say it again, Mads Mikkelsen is one of the best there is—he’s just so incredibly good in this. And Mads’ dancing, wow, it’s more iconic than I ever expected. Also has probably my favourite final 10 minutes of any movie this year.
