Watched in preparation for the new Halloween.
I end up feeling meh about a lot of slashers primarily because the lead up to the killing spree is often boring and the characters often underdeveloped but, while the characters here aren’t the most complex, I actually cared for them and I enjoyed the dialogue/lead-up sometimes more than I did the actual horror elements. Jamie Lee Curtis’s character is especially great.
The confrontation between Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Meyers is sort of anticlimactic despite having two psych out deaths, but it’s just the right kind of silly/ridiculous “fight” for me to enjoy.
OST is also fantastic, but that feels obvious. I was already pretty familiar with it prior to watching because of how iconic it is.
